Volunteering with ADHF

Whether you’re brand new to volunteering or you’ve been doing it for years, ADHF can offer you the opportunity to get out and make a real difference to the lives of some of Australia’s most underprivileged people.

While we may not always have projects running in your local area, we’d love you to sign up to be on our list of volunteers who stand ready to give their time and expertise to help those in need.

Signing up is just the first step. When a project near you is planned, we’ll get in touch to find out if you’ll be available to join the volunteer team. If you can’t make it, there’s always next time.

What do volunteers get out of it?

Surprisingly, it’s not just a sense of satisfaction in helping others. Our volunteers have reported all kinds of unexpected rewards from giving some of their time. New friendships and professional connections have been made between volunteers working on the same project. Often volunteers are able to expand their patient care experience by dealing with patients and situations that present different challenges than those they see every day. Some use it as an opportunity to try something new.

Whatever your reason for volunteering, you will gain as much as those you help.
